Georgian Seminar

On April 24, 2014 Vic Korsun, Deputy Executive Director (US) presented a seminar in Tbilisi entitled - Seminar On Innovation in Georgia: Lessons and Recommendations For Scientific and Educational Leadership in Georgia. It was held at Tbilisi State University and approximately 80 scientists and policy makers attended the seminar which ran from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. Akaki Peikrishvili from STCU’s Georgian Information Office also assisted during the seminar.

The seminar was run jointly with STCU and the Technology Transfer Center of Georgia with the support of the following Georgian ministries and organizations:

Ministry of Education and Science
National Academy of Science in Georgia
Sakpatenti Patent Office of Georgia
Tbilisi State University (Department of Research)

The focus of the seminar was to provide a comprehensive view of the aspects of technology transfer, commercialization and start-up companies that would be useful for Georgian scientists and engineers working at Georgian scientific institutes and universities.
