STCU Delegation Participates in Technology Managers Seminar at ISTC, 20-21 September 2007

Under its Chief Technology Commercialization Officer (CTCO) Program, STCU sponsored 5 Ukrainian technology officers from participating Ukrainian institutes for this 2-day Technology Managers Seminar in Moscow. The seminar was organized by STCU’s sister center, the International Science & Technology Center (ISTC), along with the International Technology Commercialization Institute of the University of Missouri-Columbia (USA). The Ukrainian team joined about fifty other participants from Russia, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The seminar aimed to assist these new institute technology managers in making appropriate use of current and future technological resources, and to provide comprehensive support to these managers based on an integrated understanding of science, engineering and business management. Among the seminar’s topics were: Organizing a New Technology Transfer Office; Anatomy of a Good Licensing Agreement; Managing a Technology Transfer Operation; and Negotiating a Deal.
