Regular Projects

The original mechanism for aiding former weapons scientists in recipient states, funding for Regular Projects is derived from the governments of Canada, the EU, Ukraine, the USA, and Japan. Regular projects are documented by a two-parties contract (Regular MPA) signed by the Recipient (a project team from the Recipient Countries represented by the Project Manager and the Director of an organization) and by the STCU. These projects continue to be of significant importance to the work of the STCU. Projects which have been financed cover practically every scientific field, such as advance materials, agriculture, solar energy, environmental protection, water quality, health, and medicine.

Partner Projects

The STCU is meeting the challenges of an ever–changing and rapidly globalizing world by becoming more flexible and sustainable. Beginning in 1997, the STCU undertook a new endeavor in its goal of achieving greater sustainability by commencing the Partnership Program. The goal of the program is to create partnerships between our recipient and donor country companies, scientists and institutes for the development and promotion of R&D partner projects. Partner projects are a key section of the Partnership Program. Partner projects are documented by a three-parties contract (Partner MPA) signed by the Recipient (a project team from the Recipient Countries represented by the Project Manager and the Director of an organization), by the Partner (STCU Partners) and the STCU. Funding for partner projects is provided by the Partner, who determines funding levels based on the technical work plan developed by the Recipient upon approval by the Partner.
